FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you do children’s parties?

Sadly, if you are looking for someone in a playing card waistcoat and a spinning bow-tie, you’ve come to the wrong place. If there are children at your party or wedding then that is perfectly fine and of course I will have some tricks that are suitable for them. However my target audience is adults and too many of my tricks will go over the heads of youngsters for them to truly appreciate it. If you are looking for a children’s entertainer I can recommend contacting my good friends at Jesters and seeing what they have to offer. They can put you in touch with some incredible performers working the North-West circuit!

Do you do trade-shows?

I certainly do! I have performed for stands at trade shows before to great success! I can draw in a crowd with effective sleight of hand and turn casual browsers into active business prospects. This creates a real buzz around your stand and can help to highlight the features and benefits of your product using attention-grabbing, visual magic. If you want your company to stand out in the competitive world of tradeshow marketing then give me a call. I can develop custom effects for your business and help promote your company.

I have a few magicians in mind, why should I choose you?

Many of my clients have used magicians before and they always say my charm, wit and style are what sets him apart from the rest. If you'd like to arrange a meeting where you can get the opportunity to speak to me and witness some of my magic directly then please get in touch.

How far do you travel?

The bulk of my work is in and around the North West of England and the surrounding areas of Leeds but I have travelled world-wide to perform, so every enquiry is worth it!

Is there anything that I, the client, should be expected to provide?

All the props that I need for my performance I can provide unless I'm doing a cabaret show, in which case I may ask to borrow a small table and a couple of chairs. Although not necessary to provide, I always happily receive VIP car-parking, dressing rooms, lavish meals and bikini-clad women to feed me grapes…

I have a large event planned with lots of people attending, will your walk-around magic be able to entertain everyone?

As a general rule, one magician can get round 100 people in 2 hours. It is possible to get round more people but obviously the time spent with your guests or clients will be shortened, meaning less magic for them. For any event that is too large and will require more than one magician or performer, I have a select group of friends in the magic and circus community that I work with regularly and provided there is a long enough lead-in, I should be able to source other magicians and performers also required to perform at your event.

What if you are taken ill or can’t attend the gig at the last minute?

Good question, imaginary person! This can obviously be a big fear when organising large events that you are desperate to run smoothly. In four years of performing I have never missed a show, however it’s always best to plan for the worst-case scenario. With this in mind, I can guarantee that I can get an emergency, back-up performer to you at the last minute in the rare case that I can’t make the gig. I can’t guarantee that they’ll be as astounding as me but I can assure you they’ll be the next best thing...

So how much exactly do you cost?

Well that completely depends on what you’re looking for. The key factors are the type and length of the performance, the venue, the audience and the travel distance. If you give me a call and specify the details of the event then I can usually give you a quote over the phone straight away.

I’m sure I’ve seen you perform on stage as part of a double-act. Was that you?

That may well have been me. There has been the rare occasion when I’ve performed as part of a double act before but this is far from the norm. Consider yourself very lucky if you’ve ever witnessed it...

Is it true you took pi to its final digit?

Yes. In fact, whilst you were reading this, I actually counted to infinity. Twice.
